Fort McMurray, AB, December 17, 2024  – Arts Council Wood Buffalo is proud to announce Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Canadian Natural) as an Arts Patron Partner, contributing $20,000 to the INCredible! Campaign. This donation supports Arts INC, a purpose-built arts centre in downtown Fort McMurray, designed to be a creative and economic hub for the region. 

Canadian Natural, a long-standing leader in fostering sustainable community initiatives, has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening communities near its operations by investing in long-term cultural and economic enrichment through Arts INC. Their contribution underscores the tremendous opportunities presented by this state-of-the-art facility in nurturing creativity and collaboration.

Campaign supporters,” said Liana Wheeldon, Executive Director of Arts Council Wood Buffalo. “Their donation propels the Arts INC project forward and exemplifies the power of community partnerships in shaping the future of arts and economic growth in Fort McMurray.” 

Currently in progress, Phase 1 of the Arts INC renovation marks the beginning of a transformative journey. This phase lays the foundation for an inspiring space where artists, performers, and cultural organizations can come together to create, collaborate, and showcase their talents. Once complete, Arts INC will provide much-needed facilities and resources to support the growth of the region’s vibrant creative community. 

Thanks to committed partners and donors like Canadian Natural, the $3 million INCredible! Campaign is gaining momentum, with contributions being sought from businesses, families, and individuals to support the development of Arts INC. Many recognition opportunities are available, including naming rights for rooms and spaces within the facility.
