Birch Mountain Enterprises LP Announces $50,000 Partnership Funding for INCredible! Campaign

Fort McMurray, AB, October 30, 2024 – Arts Council Wood Buffalo (ACWB) is pleased to announce a significant $50,000 partnership funding from Birch Mountain Enterprises LP (BME), aimed at advancing the $3 million INCredible! Campaign.

The INCredible! Campaign supports Arts INC, a purpose-built arts centre in downtown Fort McMurray. This creative and economic hub will be further strengthened by BME’s leadership investment.

As BME approaches its 20th anniversary, the company remains committed to community development through strategic investments in education, health, sports, and cultural initiatives. Their partnership funding for the INCredible! Campaign underscores their commitment to supporting the arts and preserving cultural heritage.

Chris Wilson, CEO and Managing Partner of BME, stated, “The vision and goals of Arts INC align closely with our values. We are excited to contribute to the success of Arts INC and support its development and future growth.”

ACWB is proud to recognize BME as an Arts Innovator, with a special acknowledgment in the Arts INC Adaptable Space. This versatile area, equipped with advanced audiovisual technology and adjustable lighting, will facilitate a wide range of creative activities, from digital art exhibitions to live performances.

Liana Wheeldon, Executive Director of Arts Council Wood Buffalo, expressed gratitude, saying, “We are deeply appreciative of BME’s leadership and partnership funding. This investment not only advances the Arts INC project but also demonstrates a strong commitment to cultural expression and economic development in our community.”

With facility design and construction plans approved, the Arts INC project is set to begin construction. The total project cost is estimated at $16 million, and while development grants have been secured, additional support is needed. The $3 million INCredible! Campaign seeks contributions from businesses, families, and individuals to support this transformative project.

Arts Council Wood Buffalo thanks BME for their leadership and substantial partnership funding. We look forward to working together to realize this new, sustainable home for the arts.
